About Us

Goonoo Goonoo Station is an historic property located in the Peel River Valley, 25km south of Tamworth. It contains some of the region’s most prized heritage buildings dating back to the 1840s, all beautifully restored to capture the spirit of Australia’s pastoral and agricultural story as it continues to evolve. In fact, Goonoo Goonoo Station is much more than a relic of a bygone era – it is a fully operational cattle station, and the flagship of the Goonoo Goonoo Pastoral company which runs approximately 9,000 head of cattle.

Now, Goonoo Goonoo Station is creating fresh history with the launch of its stunning restaurant, function space and boutique accommodation – opening its doors to the public in such a way that everyone can experience its fascinating story.

Drop in for lunch to savour some of the Tamworth’s finest seasonal produce, including premium beef sourced on site, or enjoy a guided tour through the historic village. All the buildings have been thoughtfully restored to provide quality accommodation for up to 76 guests, a function centre and a restaurant, making it an ideal venue for weddings, corporate events and private functions.

Check-in Instructions	Accommodation guests should proceed through "The Village" gates using the gate code that will be sent via text to your phone prior to your arrival. On arrival into the Village itself, please follow signs to Reception in the Old Butchers Shop. Parking for check-ins is in front of the Chapel.

Getting There	From Sydney: Head North on The M1 toward Newcastle. Take the Hunter Expressway exit toward Singleton and continue on the New England Highway approx 240km. From Tamworth: Head South on Goonoo Goonoo Road approximately 25km (20 mins).
Parking	Each residence has parking space for two seperate vehicles in close proximity.
Terms and Conditions	Every person signing this document and/or actually occupying accommodation or utilising other services shall be personally responsible for all charges in addition to the customers above names. It is a condition of occupancy that the person signing this document agrees to the Rules of the House. Accommodation is provided in accordance with the Traveller Accommodation Providers (Liability) Act 2001. Any damage to property will result in repair or replacement fee being charged to nominated credit card or the forfeit of full bond payment. If found or reasonably thought to have smoked inside room or building will incur a $300 cleaning fee charged to nominated credit card or forfeit of full bond payment. Accommodation and services must be paid in full prior to or at check-in unless an account has been established and approved. Credit Card transactions incur a surcharge of 1.5% for Master Card & Visa.
