About UsThe Western Big Sky Inn in Deer Lodge is centrally located between three major cities in Southwest Montana. Butte, forty miles to the South, on I-90, Missoula, eighty five miles west, and Helena, fifty five miles east on Hwy 12. We offer twenty very clean, comfortable rooms at a very reasonable rate. Why pay more in the bigger cities, when you can book a room with us for less? We feature single queens, double queens and king rooms. Each room includes a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. We feature free long distance calling, free wireless internet and air conditioning. Hair dryes, irons, ironing boards, and cribs are available upon request. Come to the lobby each morning and enjoy our complimentary continental breakfast, or take it back to your room. Please note that our lobby closes at 10 P.M. MST. | Getting There | If you are traveling East on I-90, take Exit 184 and turn right. We are located one mile from the Exit. If traveling West, take Exit 187 and drive two miles down Main St. in historic Deer Lodge. The Western Big SKy Inn is conviently located within easy walking distance from the Grant-Kohrs Historic site, restuarants and bars. With a grocery store and gas station right across the street, your drive time will be over once you check in to your cozy, clean room. |
| Parking | Our spacious lot will accommodate all types of vehicles. People with diesel trucks are asked not to back into parking spaces, or let vehicle idle, close to the building, as the fumes can be hazardous to other guests. Guests with bigger trucks, or trailers, may park next to the grass strip on the South side of the lot, or the back of the empty lot on the south side. |

Montana Auto Museum – Come see a wide variety of car models dating back all the way to the mid 1800's. Old Montana Prison - Tour the the Old Montana prison, built in 1800, for a look into the life of a prisoner. Montana Law Enforcement Musem Frontier Montana Museum- Enjoy seeing the many items used by the old American cowboys. Yesterday's Playthings (Toy Museum) – This toy museum has many antique toys and dolls dating back to 1835. Outdoor Attractions and Activities Arrow Stone Park - offers a boat ramp with fishing access to the Clark Fork River, picnic tables, and walking trails Water Sports such as fishing, swimming, and boating.
