About Us

The Colonial Court Motor Inn is Kempsey's leading travel accommodation establishment.

This clean and quiet motel is set well back from the main road through town, in extensive native gardens on the bank of the beautiful Macleay River. It is a short flat walk to restaurants, cafes, bars and shops in the town centre.

Guest units are 3.5 star rated, ground floor, non-smoking rooms with ensuite shower rooms, Foxtel subscription television and wireless (wifi) internet connections included. There is a variety of standard and deluxe rooms to choose from.

There is a range of breakfast choices and restaurant evening meals and drinks can be delivered to your room. There is onsite parking including long vehicle bays, a swimming pool, and an undercover barbeque gazebo area and table settings on verandahs.

Getting There	We are located just a few minutes drive off the Pacific Highway in Kempsey township, on Smith Street, the main road through town. Arriving from the south (Sydney and the Central Coast) we are 1km past the river bridge and Post Office on the right side. Arriving from the north (Brisbane and the Gold Coast) we are 150m past the Shell service station on the left side.
Parking	Most parking is to your door and long vehicle bays are available.
Things To Do	Kempsey is strategically located midway between the state capitals of Sydney and Brisbane, just off the Pacific Highway and on the Macleay River. This thriving country town is home to the Slim Dusty Museum and Convention Centre (opened 2015), a 4-theatre cinema complex (opened 2019), the Historical Museum, Aboriginal arts and crafts, and golf courses. Kempsey also provides a convenient base for sightseeing, cycling, hiking, boating, fishing and surfing at South West Rocks (including Trial Bay Gaol in picturesque ruins), Crescent Head, Arakoon National Park, Hat Head National Park (including the active Smoky Cape Lighthouse) and in the Macleay Valley hinterland.
