About Us

This personalised boutique resort is a hidden oasis nestled atop a breath-taking fjord, with 180º panoramic views of the sea, fjords and mountains.

Tufi Resort is a place that makes the outside world and all its daily stress seem a million miles away. The Resort is perched on an amazing, cliff-top terrace overlooking Tufi Harbour and the Coral Sea.

Located in Oro Province and only 129 kilometres (80 miles) east of Kokoda, Tufi Resort is the perfect place to rest the weary body after the challenges of the Kokoda or Black Cat Trail.

Amenities include BBQ and dining settings, in-ground pool with views of the fjord below. The main building is a remarkable design that incorporates the reception, gift shop, library, restaurant and alfresco bar... hello margaritas!

Check-in	On flight arrival
Check-in Instructions	Tufi Resort managers meet all flights upon arrival at Tufi and will transfer guests to the resort by vehicle, or you can stretch your legs with a 3 minute walk. Once at the resort you will be greeted on the deck with a refreshing welcome drink, and, during guest registration your luggage will be delivered to your room while you relax and enjoy the view.

Getting There	Tufi is accessible only by Air. We can package return flights with Airlines PNG or you can book these online yourself. Please contact our Reservations Team at reservations@tufiresort.com for bookings. Flight times are as follows MON Dep POM 0800 Arr TFI 0940 Dep TFI 1010 Arr POM 1100 WED/FRI Dep POM 1510 Arr TFI 1600 Dep TFI 1630 Arr POM 1810 Private plane charters are available also. Terms and Conditions	At the time of booking a deposit of 20% is required to secure the booking. The balance is due no later than 30 days prior to arrival at Tufi Resort. Travel Insurance: We recommend that every guest purchase comprehensive trip cancellation, accident, medical and baggage insurance prior to their departure. Evacuation insurance is compulsory. We recommend DAN INSURANCE or DAN TRAVEL ASSIST. DAN is the expert in Diving related evacuations and sponsor an in-country hyperbaric chamber in Port Moresby. DAN Insurance provides immediate evacuation and mobilization and treatment for dive related accidents, (e.g. decompression sickness). Please note that the resort will not be responsible for lost baggage, airline cancellations and lost property. Guests should take trip cancellation or interruption insurance to ensure against unforeseen events for travel anywhere in PNG. Weather conditions: All resort activities are subject to weather conditions and at Management's discretion (for your safety). Ideal dive conditions generally are between November and June. Variable conditions can occur between June and September and outer reef dives may not be possible and as such, dive itineraries may require adjustment and shall be at managements' discretion. Airline Tickets: Any airline tickets purchased through Tufi reservations is a courtesy gesture and Tufi hold no legal liability for those tickets if unused.
