About Us

Lake Callide Retreat offers affordable self-contained accommodation with comfortable cabins looking out over the expansive Callide Dam and is ideal for families, fishing enthusiasts, young at heart and experience seekers.

Callide Dam offers recreation activities, fishing, chasing red claw or simply relaxing in a very peaceful area. We are close enough to Biloela for supplies and to attend local events or attractions.

We have on site a designated fossicking area where you can sieve through our Gemstone Treasure Bags after purchase.

Callide Dam is fast becoming renowned for the iconic trophy barramundi that is caught frequently. a fishing permit is required to fish on Callide Dam.

Useful Information

Check-in	2pm for cabins, 11am for vans
Check-in Instructions	Our office hours are strictly 8am - 5pm Monday to Sunday (Closed Christmas Day & Boxing Day). All bookings must arrive before the kiosk closes at 5 pm. In the event of a late arrival on your check in day, (after 5pm) this must be arranged before the day of arrival where no extra fee will be charged. We can then advise you what cabin or site you have been allocated and fees taken on the day of arrival from the card supplied. If you arrive late (after 5 pm) on the day of arrival and it has not previously been approved a $50 late fee will be charged. We look forward to welcoming you soon. Getting There	From the Dawson Highway follow the brown Lake Callide Retreat signs. Lake Callide Retreat is located on Lake Callide Drive at the Callide Dam approximately 12 kms from Biloela.
Parking	Cabins - 1 x car and 1 x boat is permitted beside each cabin. If your require extra parking spaces please advise us, as this may be arranged. Powered Sites - 1 Car and 1 Caravan/Tent etc. per site. If an additional boat parking space is required please advise us as this may be arranged
Things To Do	Our kiosk operates 7 days a week (8am to 5pm) offering cold drinks, ice creams, ice, swap n go gas, gemstone treasure bags and fishing tackle. Recreational activities are one of the key experiences at the Callide Dam and they are: Fishing for the iconic trophy barramundi, saratoga & yellow belly. Sieving through our Gemstone Treasure Bags Recreational Area overlooking Callide Dam Picnics on Covered Tables & BBQ's Children's Playground Swimming Walks, especially the Dam Wall walk at sunrise or sunset Kayaking Wildlife & Birdlife Biloela & Local Events
