Getting There | Sun Valley Motel is conveniently located at 57-59 Dawson Highway in the prosperous town of Biloela. We are located just a short hour and a half drive from Rockhampton and just over an hour from Gladstone. |
Parking | Each room has it own allocated car park. If you have a larger vehicle there is plenty of secure parking located just outside the motel. |
Things To Do | Queensland Heritage Park & Rural Hinterland Information & Visitor Centre. Home to superbly restored Old Wheels and many more items of historical significance and interest to young and old. Greycliffe Homestead and Museum, original slab home of one of the Callide Valley’s finest families, over a century old, housing an interesting variety of memorabilia. Greycliffe Homestead is open for public inspection by appointment (Phone 07 4992 2405). It was relocated from Greycliffe Station, is built of slabs, and is over a century old. Callide Lookout with great views of coalmining activities, operating power stations and also of the expanse of Lake Callide. Travel past the Power Station entrances until you cross the grid and turn left into the Ian McCauley Drive. (not for caravans) Lake Callide, popular for fishing and water skiing, is just a ten minute drive from Biloela, with picnic tables and barbeque facilities. Lake Callide, also known as Callide Dam, is part of the Bass to Barra Trail, Australia’s only impound freshwater sports fishing trail |
