About Us

Set on 20 acres, “Magdala Motor Lodge & Lakeside Restaurant” offers excellent accommodation, restaurant and services for the corporate guests, holiday makers and tour groups, boasting a fully licensed bar, restaurant and outdoor deck overlooking a private lake surrounding the property, as well as seasonal heated indoor salt water pool and various family friendly recreational facilities including walking track and tennis/basketball court.

Rooms and suites are equipped with Free Wi-Fi, heating/air-conditioning, flat-screen TV, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge, with Deluxe Suites also featuring a corner Spa bath.

All rooms also overlook a perfect lake setting, with each room having direct access to the lake, and being on an estate of 20 acres, Magdala Motor Lodge is amongst the quietest accommodation choices between Melbourne and Adelaide, assuring you a great night’s sleep.

The grounds and lake are surrounded by wildlife including pelicans, ducks, swans, turtles and kangaroos, making Magdala Motor Lodge a great choice for an overnight stay, a quiet weekend away or family getaway in the Grampians region.

Magdala's fully licensed Lakeside Restaurant is set over a scenic lake view through picture windows and alfresco deck, and is Stawell’s venue of choice for a dining, a range of functions, corporate meeting and special occasions. The restaurants atmosphere makes it perfect for a special dinner during your stay in Stawell and the everchanging seasonal menu will make it a meal to remember.

Fully licenced, our bar is also available for pre-dinner drinks. Bookings are strongly advised at the time of reservation to avoid disappointment.

Dinner service is from 6pm and Breakfast is available Tuesday to Saturday from 7:30am. Prior to 7:30am, a continental breakfast service is available for in-room breakfast, if ordered at reception by 8pm the night before.

Onsite, you can explore the surrounding gardens, enjoy a meal or drink on the alfresco deck by the lake, follow the private walking track and swim or play tennis or basketball, with equipment available free to guests.

Magdala Motor Lodge is just a 4-minute drive from Stawell's town centre, 10 minutes' drive from Great Western and close to many of the great local wineries of the Grampians and Pyrenees. The property is just 18 minutes' drive from Halls Gap, and only a short distance to Lake Lonsdale, McKenzie Falls and is the perfect base from which to visit the Silo Art Trail.

Late checkout can be arranged at reception. $25 p/hour (max 2 hours). Rooms not vacated by 12pm are charged an additional day.

Parking	Individual parking is provided in front of each room. Guest parking is available near reception. Restaurant parking is available in restaurant carpark. Buses, trailers, floats and single trailer trucks can also be accommodated onsite - Please enquire at reception upon Check-in.

Terms and Conditions	Valid Drivers Licence & Credit Card of Primary Guest must be presented upon check-in. Credit card details retained will be used to charge any outstanding accommodation, minibar or incidental charges that may be incurred during the stay. Prepaid debit cards are not accepted. A Pre-Authorisation of the accommodation value plus $200 may be required upon Check-in to cover incidentals, such as restaurant charges, minibar and damages, except for Corporate Accounts or by pre-arrangement. Any unused portion will be released at Checkout upon settlement of the Room Account. Note that depending on your bank, a Pre-Authorisation may take 5-7 days to return to your account. Minimum stay periods may apply during Christmas, New Year, Easter & Long Weekends & Peak periods. Standard cancellation Policy applies during non-peak periods.
